Its 10 3/4 matra, when counting he goes to the 11th matra on his hand but doesnt complete the 11th matra, he finishes just before at 3/4 of the way through the 11th matra. This makes it 10 3/4.

yup, this is in fact 10.75 beats, if each beat gets divided into 4 segments, the last ends up with 3 quarters

are you sure it is 10 3/4 taal? I think it is 11 1/4 taal because if you look at the ragi's hands, they are also counting 11 1/4 beats.
