  • yeah this amp is great my dad refuse to buy it to me cus he said vox are better, and he got me a vox valvetronix vt50, its good but i think it doesnt have this kind of overdrive which i FUCKING LOVE!!!!!! how much did it cost?

    Cemetary gates!

  • they have them cheap on ebay...dude..this amps distortion is just amazing. If you want that classic rock tone or a heavy punching tone its just great. This one has a texas heat speaker in it though.

  • What your'e using is a Phaser effect, It may thicken your distortion if you turn down your rate eq and boost the depth...

  • I use an AVT275. I mostly use the clean channel with lots of effects but thanks for the info about the other distortion options I'll try it out.

I agree that although some people don't rate AVTs but you can get some great sounds out of them if you spend time getting to know them.

You can get a great usable signal from the emulated line out as long as you don't have the preamp gains too high. As the gain gets higher the signal gets thin and brittle but down around 12 o'clock it's sweet as.

  • @rytaco haha it's cool man, I know what u mean ;) Enjoy it and post some demos if u can! \m/

  • @akdomun Sorry man. I'm on a mesa powertrip right now lol. It's all good.

  • @rytaco I agree tubes are the kings of distortion and tone, but personal preference also matters sometimes. I know tubes, but I like this heavy distortion, just like Chuck Schuldiner did. No need to start an amp war bro :) peace and rock hard \m/

  • @akdomun it can be... jcm 800 or an old mesa. This is toys r us city

  • @akdomun UHH, get an amp with tubes in it. Not Toys R Us tubes.

    Real ones. Go on craigslist.

  • @zbaby82 It's got only one preamp tube and the uses a solid state power section, it's a hybrid amp which sounds like no other!

  • The overdrive is killer on this amp...can't be compared

  • Had my AVT-100 almost 9 years and love it to bits. Great sounding and very versatile amp. Was playing some JCM's in my local practise studio but despite them being full valve amps they just don't sound as good as the AVT imo. May upset the purists but guess it's down to opinion!
