  • john i got a tele squire custom i play slide on but i was thinking of getting a les paul do you kno if there any good for slide i kno duane played one do they give you a warmer tone. and also how long are your dvds on discount for i really want to buy them cheers andrew.

  • @pretty9reenpark4 well i am not john, but i can tell you that humbuckers will give you a warmer tone, duane played a les paul and a 60s sg for slide, so a les paul will get u the sound you want, fenders give you a more toppy glassy tone, think ry cooder or bonnie raitt. but sometimes its all in the amp and your fingers. hope that helped.

  • @tom27j Thanks for the help.

  • @pretty9reenpark4 Les Pauls sound great for slide. You should try out SGs as well. My DVDs stay the same price all the time. The discount price is the permanent price.

  • Hey John- Love your vids. I'm an old pro touring guitarist that could never do slide well. Been playing guitar for 35+ years- I picked up Lap Steel 5 months ago (for my slide stuff) and your vids have helped me a lot!! Thanks again. Do you have a DVD slide lessons? Thanks!! - D.
