@XRaPeRiToX I disagree. It's possible to critique and dislike a game without an agenda. I own all of the current and past generation consoles. I just prefer the older darker games. Incidentally, I own them on a PC currently.

@TheGmodGtards this game and munch's oddysee are awesome games! 2 of the best games for the old xbox, i got them both and still play them. the only people that dislike these 2 games are enraged sony fans who are just pissed they lost the oddworld series to microsoft a long time ago and so they bitch about what they don't have anymore.

I think the problem with these new games, isn't necessarily that the gameplay is bad. I'll be honest, it looks a bunch of fun. I also don't mind Abe not returning so much. The main problem I find is that these newer titles seem so light and childish. The original Oddworld games on the playstation had INCREDIBLY dark humor, and a chilling atmosphere. Characters being turned into meat, heart pounding music, screeching monsters. It's dark humor, not Crash Bandicoot humor like this game feels...

I dunno - why so many glowing reviews? 8.5? We were programming 1st to 3rd person shooting back in the days of Quake - the Chasecam mods. So that isn't a new development here. I would think maybe a 5 or 6/10 just because of the absolute lack of creativity with the characters, voices, dialogue. I mean that's really what you're interacting with that it severely affects gameplay. You didn't even mention the constant foul language and sexual innuendos, which really turned me off this game.
