I find strange all those soft porn parts in nowday's series. True Blood, Camelot, now Game of Thrones?

It's a desperate attempt to sell the series. "It's serious, it's not "just" a fairy tale, it's for adults, because look, it has sex in it!".

It's the same, when porn movies try to present some kind of story before the sex. :D Just as pathetic. It's exactly the same thing.

Why am I forced to watch soft porn,when I want to watch fantasy?

@Jen5en Come on. Do you really think this is just like LOTR? Tolkien intended his book as a children's story, and it grew from there. Martin was going for an older audience from the beginning.

@Hessianoct Okay, still don't see how that is relevant to anything that I've said or even you've said prior. I never said Tolkien's work was bad, I do believe I said I am a LOTR fan, just stating that LOTR was made for "children", whereas GoT is obviously a show made for adults, hence why HBO picked it up, if it were on cable then it'd be a different story, but the fact that it has to be watched on a premium channel alone proves that it is made for adults. That's all. :)

@Hessianoct "dude", do you realize that a series' fanbase and who the series was made for are two extremely different thing? Harry Potter was made for elementary school- preteens, yet a vast majority of its fanbase is between 17 and 25 years of age. Someone can make a movie or tv series that is meant for a specific age group, but they have no control whatsoever as to who likes and watches their movie or tv show. LOL. Not sure what the point of your comment was.
