@blue00simple No mate, instead of girly Scottish men, those Chinese rather play pipes in trousers than in skirts.

I had the pleasure to meet those Pipers in Edinburgh at the Pipefest... They did a good job :-)

Well do you see any improvements in the way they play now and then? They might be keeping the traditional uniform but they obviously aren't keeping the tradition of good piping going the way they sound. This reminds me of a quote "Tradition is the living faith of the dead while traditionalism is the dead faith of the living." I'll let you judge what exactly it is that the HK Police Pipes and Drums is really keeping.

Golden Bauhinia Square, HKCEC, Hong Kong. The monument is the gift from China marking the Hong Kong's handover.
The pipes & drums of the Royal Hong Kong Police play two classic pipe marches. "The Haughs of Cromdale" an old Scots war tune, and "The piper's Cave". Good to see this band around still as they use to visit the Edinburgh Military Tattoo back in the 1980s. I thought the handover in 1997 might have resulted in their disbandment by the Chinese.

Thanks for your comment! Nowadays, Hong Kong still keep for a good reserve for those things their British left!
