Thanks for this post. Wagon Train had, I believe, three different theme songs. The first was forgettable and lasted one, maybe two, seasons. The latter years featured the instrumental version most people recognize. It may have coincided with John McIntire taking over for Ward Bond, who died about 1961. I personally think this one, sung by Johnny O'Neill was the best.
