The pitch as otherwise called as Swaram, Saptha Swaram is of the highest order in the case of Mohd. Rafi, and Mukesh and Kishore comes a close second and third respectively according to me and to many.
This is what makes Rafi a singer of the highest caliber only matched by TMS (in the south) with TMS getting a slight edge because of the fact he could sing Hindustani as well whereas in the case of Mohd. Rafi he has never ventured Carnatic music as far as I know or if somebody knows can share here

Rafi Guoonj raha tha! Bharat ko dee aik awaz! Kya jalwa tha... Punjab da puttar! I still love his songs! If it weren't for his pleasure for music and who brought Kishore da to the next level, i think we would never see this classical music that it is played today! Wow, what a beauty, people back then were very adequate in that era! What ever happened to the oldiest! He was so special to people and never said no to the public's offer and did deliver for not just Indians, but for all humanity!
