It gave me chills when I heard Welles sweet voice on that voice-mail. Out of all of the 9/11 heroes, I will always say that this guy was my favorite! When I visit the 9/ll memoriam (hopefully soon) I'll pay my respect and leave gorgeous white flowers on his beautiful name in bronze. I truly believe there are angels like him incarnated living among us doing gods work, we just have to be lucky enough to find them!

Welles is truly a hero. His story is what makes someone extraordinary. True to his character, he put the lives of others before his own. There were 343 FDNY firefighters who perished. The FDNY has made Welles Crowther an honorary FDNY firefighter thus 344. My page is dedicated to all 344 brothers.
