I still think he might have survived. First when Nunnally touched his hand, she saw his past and everything. Just like when she was making Suzaku see his past. Doesn't that mean he's like c.c? Immortal? And at the end when c.c says " Right, Lulu?" Notice how the person driving the cart looks anonymous.

i dont think the cartman (lol) is lelouch. I think lelouch is somewhere else and is immortal from charles' code. Who knows.

The thing is, it doesn't matter of Lelouch is alive or not. From the start his goal was to destroy Britannia and create a better world for Nunnally. He was able to achieve that, despite having to publicly sacrifice himself. Some would agree that he wished it as punishment and redemption for everyone he had already killed.

If he returns, awesome for us fangirls. If not, well, he did what he had to do and we should be satisfied with that.

@SupermanEarths He didnt take it fom C.C. He took it from Charles when they were in the world of C. Plus, the code activates when he has his first 'mortal wound' which is when suzaku stabbed him. After it is activated the symbol should be on his right hand (thats where charles geass mark was) but we couldnt see it because it was covered with blood. Also R2 is the same as RR which in japanese is L.L-Lelouch Lamperouge.Nanaly touched him and saw his memories so he's just like C.C.

@crippletime no, you only lose your geass powers if you take the code from the person who gave you your geass. He got his code from charles, so he is immortal AND has the geass, hence the name "Code Geass".
