The All-Mighty Allah (swt) calls you to obey Him, and immediately calls you to the obedience of those that bore and raised you. One should reflect on these verses and seek to understand the rights of parents in Islam, the successes derived from adhering to these rights and the riches obtained by showing humility, kindness and respect to them. Well I will break it to you, there are plenty of horrible people in the world who beat and sexually abuse their own kids. I dont know what insecurity has to do with this, but I am asking the question...do parents like that who harm their kids deserve respect? NO.
