Batallion Chief Joseph Greenwell says it took about an hour to get a fire under control that gutted a home on Alice St in Warwick, RI. The call came in around 11am. Officials say it appears the fire started in a lower level of the home and spread through the second floor into the attic. Firefighters were evacuated from the building for a time while crews opened up the roof. There were no occupants home at the time and no injuries reported.
