View from the top of the south tower of the Forth Road Bridge during its first ever Open Week. The bridge, which links Fife and the North with Edinburgh and the central belt, was the largest suspension bridge in the world outside of the USA when opened in 1964 and the first of its kind in Europe and today is a critical link in Scotland's transport network carrying over 65,000 vehicles per day.
@Nightslasher There is a small service lift from the road level that can take three people most of the way up, but the last 40ft or so is a climb up a vertical ladder! There's then a small space inside the main horizontal bracing at the top of the tower, and a hatch out to the platform.

How did you get up there anyway? Surely not by walking up the edge of it?
