Some guy wrote that Ronnie Drew was not to the level of Pecker Dunne.Both are TWO GREAT singers.So refrain from showing your distaste.It's only question of taste n colour which is not argueable.

I've just listened to the Pecker's version and I must disagree, the Pecker, great as he may be, does not have the deeo gravelly voice that Ronnie has.

Sullivan's John runs away with a tinker's daughter. Ronnie makes it magical. You will never hear the likes of The Dubliners again.

The pecker's version is by far better than ronnies although it is also pretty good! the pecker is the last of a great generation!!
