I just bought the AppleTV and have hooked it up to my SDTV at 480p. It performs fine, but the video streamed from my tower is always distorted with the actors noticeably 'skinnier'. The strange part about this is that I also connect to my xbox360 with no distortion at all. Aren't most the movies from iTunes SD quality?

I guess my question is: Why does a Microsoft product work better with my Mac than the AppleTV?

Odd it takes so long to stream movies come on 10 to 15 min? HD movies streamed on the Xbox 360 via Netflix plays almost instantly on wireless G. All the uploading/downloading is a big drawback. This is where Netflix has a definite advantage. Since the movies are streamed, I can watch them on either device instantly.
