I personally think this scene is the stupidest in the movie. "has anything you've done made your life better?" is the most dumbass argument ever, and it can be said to anyone, including those fighting for more "progressive" causes... Also, Derek stopped hanging with the nazis because they were "fake", not nazi enough, so he changes his mind because "it's bullshit"? It doesn't actually make any sense. This movie has good nationalist arguments, and shit anti-nazi arguments. Very unrealistic.

that one line, "has anything you've done made your life better?" made me rethink hatred. and all the hatred i keep inside myself.
fuck, the whole movie made me do that.
it also helped me realize that hatred can cost us the things we love most (the ending). also, it helped me realize that edward norton is fucking hot. xD

This has got to be one of the best movies, ONLY IF YOU UNDERSTAND THE TRUE MEANING AND PURPOSE OF IT.
"HATE IS BAGGAGE, LIFES TOO SHORT TO BE PISSED OFF ALL THE TIME."
"HAS ANYTHING YOUVE DONE..MADE YOUR LIFE BETTER"
