No risk dealing with TPD. The AXR uses mostly original Steyer AUG parts which are easy to obtain. The other parts are made to spec. Even if TPD folded tomorrow you would be able to still get parts.
They actually made some improvements that make it better than the AUG in my opinion like getting rid of the crappy scope and putting a optics rail on. Plus it take AR mags. Better fit and finish too. The AXR is the Cadillac of AUG type rifles in my opinion.

I kinda agree...but the main attraction is the use of ar mags.

I'd be weary of buying one of these from a new company. Stick with a real Austrian made Steyr AUG. It will cost more money but Steyer's always retain their resell value.
