Da Vinci did not slap some paint on a canvas and end up with the Mona Lisa. He more than likley had several models, numerous sketches etc. If you want to draw or paint like this, get your self a sketch pad, doodle the old dude on the bus, sketch someone from memory, most likley wont look like them, but try again. Use this pad as a guide for cartooning
