  • It's a fantasy to think that any other form of transport will be faster and more affordable in the future.Most republican are retards that's why they are always on the wrong side.This douche bag is an oil company crony and is part of the misinformation campaign to keep us in our cars buying and using as much of their fuel as we can. you idiots have no clue by comparing what Amtrak is today (a RELIC! ) to the technology that are emerging today in high speed trains.

  • Why are Republicans always on the wrong side of every issue? Europe and China and Japan all have high speed rail. They are leaving us in the dust and Republicans like it that way. I don't understand it.

  • THANK YOU MR. NUNES, GOOD DATA ;

    I HAVE EVEN BIGER NUMBERS. CAR $43/Amtrak over $200.

  • From N.Y. N.Y. to W DC = 226 Miles at Amtrak cost of $209 or $525 for single person. Car is $43.00 at IRS price of $.19/mile standard cost for medical trips.

    Who will ride the train? The politicians and lawyers? And we all will pay for it.

    If you hate your kids, build them the HSR.

  • I agree with his comments. This train should be stopped in its tracks. Congratulations to Mr. Nunes for his stand on this issue.

  • As a former Californian, I wish CA had more reps like you so I could move back. It's hard finding a place with less corruption. My best option is a place where less is stolen from the public coffers, and that means a place with less people. I miss California.

  • Thank you for your principled leadership. Jeff Taylor: Co-Founder and Chairman of "Save Bakersfield Committee" a grass roots organization committed to saving Bakersfield, Kern County and the rest of the State of California from High Speed Rail.

  • Good job, Devin.

  • We support you, Devin. Keep up the good work!
