  • My mum bought me a Supercar dinky toy a long time ago. Must have been four or five at the time. On the way home, I dropped the bloody thing and it landed on a drain causing all the die-cast metal bits to fall through the grill and splosh into oblivion.

    "Leave it!" she said.

What a horrible experience. Scarred for life, I tell you.

  • I too had a Supercar toy in the 60"s...which I broke into bits

this one will shortly go into a display case

  • where can i get 1!

  • Cool

  • @TheBazFella yep I had two.

  • Anyone old enough to remember the Fireball XL5 that you could fire into the air with a rubber band and it would deploy a parachute to descend?

  • My brother Rob's first word. Not dad or mum but SUPERCAR way back in the 1960's!

  • These are your cars,

    And they look pretty cool,

    But YouTube said no,

To the song that you chose,

    They're JERKS!

    Da ta-da,

    Da-da ta-da...

  • I have one of these somewhere in my stuff, as well as a James Bond Aston Martin DB5 from 1965.

  • approximately 1964 when my father threw my supercar onto the open coal fire because i wouldn't tidy up. i watched it being destroyed .i too am scarred .

  • Note the sat nav on the dashboard - at least I think that's what is? Talk about being ahead of its time... oh I forgot, it's supposed to be in the future.

  • ¿Y la música qué? / Where's the soundtrack?

  • From about mid-1961 until late 62 (when Fireball XL5 started) I was obsessed by Supercar. I had the Budgie toy, which I eventually dropped smashing the canopy, and the larger Selcol toy in a sort of polythene plastic. Looking back, I realise that neither was anywhere near authentic, unlike this one which is perfect - as are the XL5 and Stingray which I also have. I've yet to buy the black and white Supercar though.
