I can't stand the smell of store-bought stain removers. Plus, they can get quite pricey too. So I decided to make my own stain remover. It doesn't work as quickly and magically as those purchased at the store. But it works just fine for me.

You will need: 1 tbs Borax, 1 gallon warm water, and a bucket.

If the stain isn't too "naughty," you may be able to get rid of it after 30 minutes of pre-soaking. I just so happen to have burrito-stained pants. I didn't get a chance to clean them until later that night. So the stain was a little "naughty" and wouldn't go easily on me. With the borax mixture, I pre-soaked the pants overnight before washing it. It works for me.

  • pls answer my question mam :(.. soo i have a gray pants and my brother washed it and accidentally put some bleach in it soo in the left side there's some stain parts that i cant get rid off its colored pinkishh, i dont wat to do wid them... what are you gonna do to get rid of them? plss answer it back :(

  • @15nikesb Hi, oh you're not alone. I got my favorite black shirt and navy blue jacket bleached accidentally leaving reddish spots on them. You can try different ways depending on how severe the bleach spots are. I tried coloring my spots with permanent markers. The advantage of this is that it's a quick fix. The disadvantage is that you have to recolor after several washes. Or you can try to use fabric dye as well.

  • Whoa... keren. Can it get rid of blood too? For some reasons I used my WHITE t shirt as a gauze (smart move, huh. I know!) when I had a biking accident (read: okay, fine, I was just learning and I fell, but this doesn't sound as dramatic) and now the blood stains won't go away.

  • @divaliant Yes yes ... you can use it for blood stain too. I tried this successfully not only on burrito-stained pants, but also on bike oil and kimchi stains :-). Let me know how it works for you, k?
