Travelling outsider painter J.T. Murphy, known on the streets as Bill Jacksonville or JT, from Jacksonville, Florida, has blown into the Bay area. He caused a stir at the Oakland Art Murmur, setting up on the sidewalk, creating his own venue. For all the artist's artwork accepted by gallerists for exhibit, primarily usually for saleability, his was most riveting. The local Bay weekly featured an array of his work on sidewalk for the cover. JT became the symbol of the vibrancy of the East-Bay art movement.
In this video, JT has set up exhibit at the Ashby Flea Market, in the stall of some regular vendors.
Having done his magic, JT has followed the call of the road again, and is currently back East.
He writes on Oct 05, 2007, 09:01 PM,
"Thanks Dood,
thanks for the youtube air time...im bback on the road on the east coast right now..thanks again....jt"
Thanks JT.
