Work, Charlies eighth film is the series made by Essanay, was filmed at the Bradbury mansion studio at 147 North Hill Street in Los Angeles.
The studio exterior is briefly visible in scenes near the beginning and end of the film.

With Chaplin in Work are Billy Armstrong and Marta Golden as the husband and wife, Edna Purviance as the maid, Charles Insley as the boss, and Leo White and Paddy McGuire.

The film is presented very much as it was when released by Essanay on June 21, 1915.

He really is, and a damn foolish apprentice, he remind me of myself at work, i'm a plumbers apprentice, so when I do something idiotic or something that some people see as logic i just think of Chaplin :)

Yah, exactly. There's nothing else to do than just laugh of your mistakes, and Chaplin showed us that.
