@stevierayharris2 I've met Dave twice. Once at a Namm show where he was playing in a Beatle cover band and once in Dallas at a guitar show. he played a strat the entire time. He's a great player and Im glad that we agree that he could NEVER sound like Gary. REO isnt the only band that sold out for the ballad money. Foreigner, Journey, Styx, Heart etc etc. all did the same thing. The new reo plays those shit ballads and then throws in a few of Garys songs and pretends they are a rock band.

@OldSouthernSoldier Dave plays gibsons more then he does strats for your information. Im not here to argue with you all and start bullshit fights like every other fucker does on here all im sayin is Dave and Bryan both were great replacements and they have their own sound, Dave plays the richrath way but with his own spin on it which is not the same as Garys. Nobody can sound like Gary cause thats his styl. Also, they both play with the same energy, heart and purpose just has REO always has.

@stevierayharris2 The best REO ever? They arent even a good cover band of REO. The REO signature sound was Gary's Les Paul and less face it, you will never get that TONE with a strat. I just saw their set list and they still play Gary's songs. Take Gary's songs off the list and you have a Michael Bolton concert. It will NEVER be REO without Gary except for idiots like you that don't understand music.

@leecalvin I totally agree with you. I hate how people always say its not REO without Gary or Alan. YES IT IS STILL REO!! Dave and Bryan brought out REO's true rock sound that they are!

@leecalvin I Totally agree with you. I hate how people say its not REO without Gary or Alan......YES IT IS and its the best REO ever. Dave and Bryan really brought out the real rock sound that REO has!

@shawno66 Dave A is GOOD- but nowhere better than Gary. You can tell that just by WATCHING Gary, LOl. He made that guitar sing like nobody's business!!!
-
I saw them in the early 70's up in Illinois, at a place called Ivanhoe Dude Ranch. They Rocked!!!
-
It's funny that everybody still considers Dave A. the "new guy" but he's now been in the band longer than Gary had! I love Gary because he's an icon, but let's face it.... Dave A. is a better player. Period.
