Falling Over You A Jonas Love Story Chapter 17

Mikayla's POV

"Mick, wake up." someone tugged at my arm and I shoved me gently. I groaned and opened one eye.
"Shhhhh, I'm sleeping."
Alex laughed and pulled the covers from me, revealing my bare legs and purple cotton nightie.
"Mikayla Marie, now." he demanded, still laughing a little.
"Remember when I told you I missed you?"
He nodded.
"I take it back."
I rolled out of bed and stood up groggily. It sounded like Riley and Lily were arguing out in the living room because all I heard was, "SHUT UP! I'M TIRED!" and "MAKE ME!". Hmmm, Lily must've been singing again. Sigh. I decided to shower quickly then I put on some of my favorite Victoria Secret Pink cream on. Now, about my outfit. I smiled to myself and began throwing clothes all over the place. What to wear, what to wear... I chucked a stack of t-shirts out of the way and finally made it to my sweater and/or cardigans section of my suitcase. I had an obsession with sweaters and cardigans. No, anything soft actually. I pulled out a purple racerback, button down cardigan (A/N; Kinda like that sweater thing Selena Gomez had on for the DC Games? The orange and grey stiped cardigan thing she wore when they were picking teams. Yeah, a cardigan like that.) and a pair of destroyed and paint splattered jean shorts that were made courtesy of my brother and I during our awful attempt at painting the garage in North Carolina. Ha. I looked at my hair. Hmmm, maybe it was a headband day. Definitely. I put in my pretty wire headband that had little fake diamonds across it. My hair was too curly and messy to work with today. Long hair... sometimes more hassle than it needs to be. I then brushed my teeth and did that kind of stuff. I slid into my Converse and grabbed my phone off my dresser. I walked out and saw Alex, Riley, and Lily all waiting for me by the door.
"Ready?" Alex asked.
I nodded and grabbed my black Ray Bans off the counter before heading out the door.
We took a cab down to the business district and for a little while, I had forgotten that I was suppose to text Nick. Oh, well. I'll text him later, when we're done doing whatever my brother has us doing. The cab pulled up to a giant skyscraper and we all got out and walked into a huuuuuge lobby. My brother gestured us over to him at the receptionists desk and we followed him and some lady to an elevator that led us to the 8th floor. We walked down the modernly decorated halls and soon we found ourselves in an enormous room with a narrow table in the center of it. Around 20 chairs all together sat at a place around the table and almost all of them were occupied.
"Hey guys." Alex waved, three boys waved back at him.
I recognized the three boys immediately. Now it makes sense! That was Michael, Jason, and Andrew. My brother's bandmates. The three of them smiled and waved to me like we'd known each other forever, because we had obviously. Haha. I waved back excitedly and smiled brightly at each of them. Alex took a seat next to Andrew and I sat on the other side of Alex, next to Lily who was next to Riley. We waited for a little bit and everyone made small talk. Michael, Andrew and I were discussing who would eat the most tacos on the tour bus. I placed my bet on Andrew. Everyone knows Michael doesn't stand a chance.
"Whats up boys?" a voice boomed from behind my chair as I felt a hand ruffling my hair. I turned around to see Kevin behind me.
"Kevin? Joe, Nick? What're you guys doing here?" I asked, scanning the room and catching Joe's eye.
"We were about to ask you guys the same thing.?" Joe questioned with a wide smile.
"Yeah, what ARE you doing here?" Nick questioned, standing in the tiny space between mine and Andrew's chairs.
Mr. Jonas popped in the room suddenly, his eyes flickering from my face, to Nick's, to Riley's, then to Lily's.
"What a nice surprise," he noted warmly. "What're you guys doing here?"
"Yeesh, Alex. It's so great to know how big of a detail I am in your life." I said sarcastically, jabbing him in the ribs with my elbow.
"Alex is your boyfriend?" Nick asked anxiously.
Everyone busted out laughing.
"He's your brother isn't he." Nick assumed dryly with a blush.
"Um, a little." Lily scoffed and laughed at Nick.
"And Mick is your sister?" Joe asked in shock.
"That's kind of what that means..." I chuckled.
"Wait, how do YOU guys know them?" Jason asked Kevin.
"Joe and Nick met them at a party a week or so ago and it turns out we were staying the same hotel. So they came to a show and now here we are. What a small world, eh?" Kevin explained.
"Anyways..." Mr. Jonas chuckled.
"We have some news for you guys." Kevin continued.
Joe bit his lip then smiled, "We want you to open for us."
Everyone's mouths fell open, including mine.
"Sweet dude! For what show?" Andrew asked excitedly.
Kevin laughed, "All of them."
