I think the dude's issue wasn't her appearance change, it was her attitude change. XD After she started dressing fancy and shit, she began to sort of ignore him more and her personality was altering a tad.

I respect your opinion. BUT I'm not going to feel sympathy for the band just because they worked longer than they actors and producers to make this movie. There are plenty of other bands and musicians (like Tegan and Sara) who have worked much harder and still haven't made it. And the actors and producers have worked MUCH LONGER than the band, Meryl Streep was acting before the band was even born. Take your own advice.
