Legendary tropical music singer and songwriter Joe Arroyo treated us to a rare live session during Music Voyager's visit to Barranquilla, Colombia in December, 2010. Torrential rain kept us from using our original outdoor location, so we begged a local library to close early and let us take them over...and they said yes!

It was an amazing and technically challenging session, and a band that size made our sound guy sweat, but it turned into a magical night.

Little did we know that it would be one of Arroyo's last live sessions. He passed away on July 26, 2011 at the age of 55. His music and his influence will live forever. Que viva Joe Arroyo! La rebelión sigue!

  • @chiguagua79 Who is Oscar whatever never heard of him.

  • B-A-R-R-A-N-Q-U-I-L-L-A

  • leyendaaaa!! el joe!! lo mejorrrrr

  • THE LEYEND!!!

  • @AleAnimalista No. Why can't that person just listen to it in the language it is in? Do many non-English speakers ask songs in English to be translated? Not nearly as many as English-speakers do. Just appreciate the music for what it is without changing or adding another language.
