  • Open applicant submission for the 2012-2016 NASA Space Program for Astronaut Candidate Training is open to all active-duty US military personnel ages 26-46, closes on 01-27-2012.

If you've ever wanted to see if you have what it takes to become an Astronaut, here's your chance: astronauts.nasa(.)gov

  • @OutlawAirsoftPA

    you should fly!

  • @OutlawAirsoftPA trust me do this, if your still in high school go to a college that offers AFROTC, TAKE IT, you go through the program for 4 years and they will give you the courses and training to come out as a 2nd LT and a pilot, and the president comes out to commission you its awesome but you have to go to college to become a pilot

  • @OutlawAirsoftPA you have to have a bachelors degree (4 years college) to be a pilot. and you wont be a high rank after just 2 years either. if any more questions hit me up on facebook. Chandon Valentich

I go to basic training 1/31/2012. id be glad to help

  • @TorturedXeno Mainly conventional, once experienced then SOF once accepted. No pop tart SOF operators.

  • @CatchMeNow90 you mean jtac are the bomb droppers?

  • Are these guys like Air Force spec ops (with shorter or slightly less-intense training than PJs/CCTs) or are they more along the lines of Air Force infantry (but with the ability to call in air support)? I hear these guys get attached to conventional Army or Marine teams, but I've also heard of them working with ODAs and Special Tactics teams. What's the deal?

  • To those of you who can help me out. I am very interested in an Air Force Career. I am physically fit, and i do alot of activities (Physical Training and Ceremonial) with my JROTC Battalion. I was wondering if going into the Air Force as a Security Force for a couple of year (and achieving a high rank), I could somehow fill in a pilot slot in hopes of becoming a pilot. Or would going directly into a piloting field be better?

  • I leave mid summer. So is the biggest DQ the intellectual aspect? Cramming all these skills and knowledge, that some people just can't take it?

  • I leave mid summer, so is the biggest disqualified the intellectual aspect? Having to learn all these things so quickly that some people just can't handle it ?
