Why not pray that all mankind will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal saviour. God is the only true judge, only his judgement will stand.

Oprah is not a Christian. I don't know if Osteen is but I understand Perry is (obviously he brought Oprah), but I know Osteen sneeks a verse in here and there every sermon, and often they are used out of context, but not always. Verse + Holly Spirit = Conversion... I think that's what Perry was thinking, "This is the only church I'm going to get Oprah to go to so it's better than nothing." That's right Perry, let God do his thing! Stop hating people; no harm done.

@DefenderOfTheLarder Giving to the church is a choice and it is to help support the church in anyway. Going to a sports event supports no one but the players bank accounts and the owners and etc... and you don't get in unless you pay but you can get in church for free and never give but it is being obedient to God to give tithes and offering but you still have the choice. I'd rather benefit from giving to Gods church then to give to someone for just playing a game.

@DefenderOfTheLarder . . . I am simply pointing out that, based on the little I have heard from him in interviews, etc, he has some very mixed-up teachings. I think he's a lovely guy, but I sincerely believe that if Oprah's salvation was reliant on Joel's teaching alone (thankfully, it is totally reliant on God's work in the heart), then she will be no better off sitting under Joel's teaching than she is now, and that's a darned shame.

@GodlyInspirations41 Ok. I will, then. Question to Joel about Mick Romney: "Is a Mormon a true Christian?", Joel's response: "In my mind, they are." Really? They believe that Jesus is Satan's brother, among a host of other biblical errors. So, that's just one thing of many and, as requested, was word for word. Listen, my intention here is not to condemn Joel, the man. I believe he has a host of good intentions and I also believe he sincerely loves Jesus Christ. . . .
