This is coming from someone who has a Matchbox Twenty video in their favorites. You enjoy gutless, soulless music. Good job.

  • Or the riff that Plagues is built around? Isn't the buildup in Phoenix in Flight amazing, the energy then released in Phoenix in Flames facemelting? Isn't Jane Doe the most epic song ever?

No, of course you wont hear this, since you dislike this band, but IF you are lucky enough to find this appealing, Converge is one of the most amazing bands ever. I don't even have a problem with the vocals anymore, I know none of the songs would be halfway as great with another vocalist.

  • The riff @ 1:42 onwards is mesmerizing every time. Whether in the car on CD or at their live shows.

  • why is slipknot being discussed here.

slipknot is terrible, no matter what angle you look at it.

was this video really taken in 2002? a full 2 years before You Fail Me came out? that must explain why jacob had no mic up to his mouth during this.

    wow.

  • Peaceful.

  • i've been there before :D

  • you fail me with every fatal crush.........

  • When did Slipknot sell out anyway? Making videos? Selling millions of records? That's just Roadrunner Record Company making money. Musically they're very similar. Only difference is that only Slipknot's singles are good songs and the rest of their albums are rough, whereas all of Converge's songs are either great, brilliant or damn near perfect.

Don't slag off a band because they've been marketed well by someone else.

  • Holy fuck.

  • @KillThroatEngine it would be corey taylor's clean vocals i imagine. they seem so radio friendly at times compared to most metal vocalists; however, he does have a damn good gritty yell/scream/growl that should have most metal-aficionados respect. they've become more radio-friendly in recent years too with more of a rock-influence...but take their first 2 albums in their entirety and its really not for the average joe.

  • @thedespisedicon I have known some people who likes Slipknot but rarely listen to any other metal bands. Don't get me wrong here, but I believe that Slipknot has something for those average joes' ears.

  • @anormalnick hahahahahahaha this is the best comment ever
