This is a little vid of the bluetooth communicator I made in the last 2 days (Would have taken less but I had to go buy a soldering iron!) Its much louder in real life so dont let that put you off, you can hear it ringing & hear people clearly.

Update: I have not had a chance to prototype to circuit for the combadge yet (though I have designed it) as I can only get access to the uni electronics labs on a Monday & Monday is back to back lectures all day then scuba after so I dont have time, which is annoying! Im hoping that I will be able to use my sixthforms labs when I go back in the next few weeks so watch this space!
NEW! Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GO3yH5k5TXM for a TOS Version!

  • How much does it cost and where can I get it...

  • Depends how much the parts cost me and I made it. If you have any experience with soldering its not that hard.

  • Now you need to make the TNG communicator that's activated by poking your starfleet insigna

  • Im working on it. I just need to get a 74hc14 Hex inverting shmit triger so finish the prototype.

  • lol, T mobe aisle

  • can you make me one a star trek.

  • @MEATYOKERRable what about the lightsaber? BITCH!

  • Wow the real technology we have now is so much better than Science Fiction.

  • good luck fag

  • You chose the wrong era communicator. People are literally clambering for the Art Asylum/DST communicators decked out with Bluetooth capability...it was a cash cow waiting to happen, and it just walked right by. I would have paid you £100 or more for one..easily. Not this though.

  • cool

  • Definitely a geek!

  • its also sad when your phone looks way cooler than your diy project.lol.

  • fail, that would have been cool had you decked it out to look like a classic tos communicator but its redundant to have your phone 2 feet away from your "communications device". sorry. lol.
