Take Old Yankee Stadium for example. That ballpark had a lot of history behind it. It had everyone from Babe Ruth to Derek Jeter playing on that field and in 2008 they had to shut that stadium down and build a new Yankee's Stadium, yet people weren't morning the end of that stadium like the trees on Toomer's Corner because they knew it was time to build a new stadium. I hope that all makes sense.

In all honesty, the trees were bound to die one day, but it shouldn't have happened this way. They should have died naturally, not out of a person's own hate...

Hey man, I know where you're comng from being a christian myself. However, I truly think you don't know the pain of how people at Auburn feel because you probably don't have very little if any family connections with that school. The reason why people are getting so emotionally about the trees at toomer's corner dying is because of how it happened. A crazy Alabama loon decided to take the rivalry too far and now look what happened...
BehindWhiteWalls: I completely understand your point and thank you for commenting. I agree with you that the psycho-guy that tried to kill the tree should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. While it is true that I have no personal ties to Auburn, there still the idea that people are devastated over the tree when sin does the very same thing that the herbicide does. Not a judgement against the fans (of which I am a fan) just an observation. Thanks again for the comments.
