  • OK...so you're not exactly an objective voice...

I did address his original cavil (it wasn't a point) in good faith, but he forfeited all consideration when he took the arrogant and presumptuous "get back to me when you're educated" tack.

His subsequent postings did not rehabilitate his potential as an honest interlocutor...to the contrary he undermined himself further with his hyperbole and ad hominems.

Maybe you should be giving HIM advice on how to behave, not me...

    Respect.

  • That insecure douche bag is among my best friends on this whacky little planet. He helped save me when the love of my life was killed by a drunk driver. Hes easily among the best musicians, writers, thinkers, producers, editors, and general good guys its my privilege to know. Consider addressing his original points instead of resorting to name calling. I probably wont reply if you respond... talk to yourself if you like, make some art and have a good life.

  • Smart enough to both deploy and detect RAW-ther subtle sarcasm, I reckon...

I'm glad you don't hate me "that much." And perchance you've revised your opinion as to my negative impact on the world's pleasantness quotient--given your complimentary remarks with respect to my "oeuvre" (which I really do appreciate, BTW).

You're a good egg, and a big man to extend the olive branch...I'll reserve the pissin' match for the insecure douche bag who initiated it--should he grow a pair...

    Respect.

  • Oh, c'mon, Cantilever. Don't be silly. You're clearly smarter than that. I don't want you to die. I don't know you well enough to hate you that much. I also don't want to engage in a pointless YouTube bitch fight. I have other fish to fry. I bet you do, too.

I watched your videos... "Die Hochzeit" is a lovely family remembrance. "Noble End" made me laugh out loud. I'm glad I'm not that lobster (metaphorical or otherwise). "Kemet" speaks for itself.

  • You neglected to mention your fourth tenet:

    4) When beaten, always declare victory and scurry off in order to salvage ego and not threaten dogmatic beliefs.

(That's VERY characteristic of your ilk...)

    "Thanks for the spell check."

    You're quite welcome...

  • Thanks for the spell check. The hour grows late and I weary with your dance hence the slip of the finger. Obviously you have a command of the Roget's and your application as smoke and mirrors must be quite impressive to a twelve year old. Three tenets that I live by: 1) Never spit in the wind, 2) The best investment is a reliable timepiece, 3) When engaged in conversation and it has been determined that it is with one that is cohesively challenged... end the dialogue (see Tenets 1 and 2).

  • "Cantilever misses the point on oh so many levels..."

DO elaborate...that must be a helluva nuanced point!

"He seems less concerned with reality than his self-absorbed stream of nonsense."

Ahhh, tu quoque. I love irony, so I appreciate this (on numerous levels)...

"He makes this world a much more pleasant place in which to live. Oh wait... no he doesn't."

I am a very bad, bad person, this is true...the world would be IMMEASURABLY improved if I were to die...you agree, right?

    :)

  • You are MUCH more adept at ad hominems, obfuscation, and pure pettifogging than in making accurate assumptions...

I'm pretty good at the latter, however, though you don't need to be the Amazing Kreskin to infer from your, uh, "words" that you are rather disingenuous, intellectually (if I MAY use that term with regard to you) dishonest, and thickly partisan (on the--lemme guess--LIB-Ruhl side)...

    (N.B.: It's spelled "disdain." With a "d.")

  • Let me translate what you wrote: you DON'T know for a fact otherwise.

(I weep for the fate of that poor hamster...)

  • But you don't have a point...his nomination wasn't contentious BECAUSE of the drapes...it was because of his RELIGION. Drapegate came AFTER he was confirmed, and was not germane to the controversy surrounding his nomination...

You're the one who brought up the issue of the drapes...and keep harping on it. I'll ask again: Is that the worst you can adduce?

(But I appreciate you reinforcing my contention...what with your non-hyperbolic reference to "spaghetti monsters from outer-space"...)
