Booting NetBSD/x68k on SHARP X68030 with MC68030+68882/25MHz and 12MBytes memory.
Nereid is an interface board, it has an Ethernet, 16MB bank memory, and ScanLogic/Cypress SL811HS USB host controller.
Neptune-X is an Ethernet interface by homemade based on NE2000 and ISA-bridge. My board is made by my friends.
NetBSD/x68k supports these hardware.

  • Is a Sharp X68000 cheap to buy in Japan? I know that it's expensive to buy one overseas.

Also, how easy is it to buy a Nereid USB and NeptuneX?

  • @randomshinichi

As far as I know, it is so difficult to get them now, even in Japan.

  • @GammalSvenska my bad...

  • @xan1242 BSD is not Linux, but it is an Unix operating system. NetBSD has been ported to lots of strange hardware, even a toaster...

  • HOLY SHIT!

LINUX ON X68k?!I heard only OS was Humanx68k.

  • Also, can you do anything with it?
