W. E. Hutton, formally know to be the wreck site of the Papoose lies in 120 FSW 30 miles offshore of Morehead CIty, North Carolina. For many years this site was believed to be the Papoose and is still referred to as the Papoose by most divers and dive boat captains. The wreck site is the remains of the 400+ foot tanker sank by a German U-Boat in WWII. The wreck is populated with many Sand Tiger Sharks, Lion fish, large stingrays and huge bait balls.
