soy la bisnieta de este genio,cuando era una niña, mi abuelo, hijo de Eugene ,me ponia su musica todos los dias, por la mañana, por la tarde,por la noche,con mi baja edad en esta epoca, no me daba cuenta ,que estaba escuchando uno de los genios del violenchelo y ademas que hera el hijo de mi abuelo.

Kaler's Ysaye Sonatas are definitely among the best ever recorded. he really understands them, and it definitely comes out in his playing.

there is a great recording of him playing this sonata along with many 20th century solo violin music. I find it better than this naxos recording (although at that point it is just splitting haird). Ongaku Records, check out that great cd!
Goodness...beautiful. Just beautiful. My favorite movement. Ysaye's music is enough to make me cry, and Kaler's recording is just phenomenal. Thank you!
