  • So to resaw, I need to make sure my blade is lose? I have some blades and do not know if they are low tension, how can I tell? I appreciate you video.

  • @kmh196700 No, it’s not accurate to say that resaw blades should be loose. You need to tension the blade the way the manufacturer of that particular blade recommends. Unfortunately, I don’t know of a way to tell if a blade is low tension or not. However, if you don’t remember specifically buying a low tension blade, the blades you have probably are not low tension, and should run under normal tension.

  • It’s a 14” bandsaw. Capacity was 6” thickness before the riser block, 12” after the riser block was added.

  • hi there, please could any1 help me ! i have just purchased a 350w bandsaw, i am using it to cut 20mm hardwood, it seems to work fine in a straight line but when i try and cut a curve the blade stops moving, my blade is 1425mm x 6.35mm x 0.3mm, any advice would be much appreciated, john

  • @OLDMANSBALLBAG If the blade, & machine, are coming to a complete stop, check to make sure that the drive belt isn’t slipping. If the blade stops but it sounds like the band saw wheels are still spinning, check to make sure you’ve got enough tension on the blade to keep it bound onto the wheels. If you are bringing the entire machine to a stop, including the motor, you may be trying to turn too aggressively, or have a problem with your motor.

  • good videos

how much vibration is acceptable in band saw.

  • @32bala It’s hard to quantify the amount of vibration a machine should or shouldn’t have. I wouldn’t expect the table to be bouncing around, but a small amount of vibration will be present, especially under cutting pressure.

  • @wwgoaeditor Thanks for the reply.

  • @guerd87 and also, what brand is it?

  • What size band saw is that orginally? I see it has a riser block in it, what size riser block?

  • @19DHooah try with highland blades they have blades for resawing and the finishing are almost perfect

  • highland blades are amazing to resaw better than grizzly

  • I just purchased a Grizzly G0513X2 17" bandsaw. I am resawing hard Maple. it resaws straight but when I am finished it has kind of a washboard effect on the wood. I am using a "Timber Wolfe 131 1/2" X 1" 3 Pos. Claw blade." What would cause the washboard affect? The saw is awesome! LOL... Just wanted to throw that in there.
