'Before I Knew' is a bonus CD-ROM video track from Timothy Davey's solo piano CD, 'Scenes from the Neighbourhood'. Video production is by Jon Burke from Creative Digital Video and audio recording by Neville Clark from Disk Edits.
The piece is a reflection on a relationship, and the piano and violin are captured in contrasting environments.
The result is a highly emotional journey through the neighbourhood in which Timothy grew up, merged with the two players.
Timothy says, "I am accompanied here by Loretta Mongelli, playing her 1801 Johann Georg Lippold violin, where we discover that, like any human expression, this piece can be uttered in a variety of ways!"
'Before I Knew is gorgeous - reflective, deeply personal, and conversational... It gives fans a chance to connect with the artist on a completely different level. From the whispering trickles to the crashing drama, this tune from Scenes from the Neighbourhood speaks volumes without ever uttering a word.' Indie Music Review
