We recently asked our Facebook fans to share their favorite Colonial Williamsburg memories with us. We were overwhelmed with the wonderful stories you shared with us. This holiday season, we'd like to share a few with you.
This is a great video, I love Williamsburg and I plan on going back for a second trip with my family. There is one point in the video the narrator indicate we are a Democracy, we are in fact a Republic. Beautiful pictures, great story!
With some invaluable help from super members of the CWF staff my wife and I were able to help a small girl realize her dream. It is acts of kindness such as this that re-enforce our decision to become members of the WAR Goodwin Society.
"So that the future may learn from the past" - History Channel slogan. We couldn't agree more! We visited with our kids in 2009. We played 18th century games, heard Thomas Jefferson speak, ate at the same tavern as George Washington, and marched in the same field where Gen. Washington mustered his troops for the battle of Yorktown. Williamsburg is truly living history! We wish everyone in America could visit.
My daughter and I visit Colonial Williamsburg every month for some "mom and daughter" time. How rare is it that a teenager wants to spend a day with her mom?....that's the special thing about Colonial Williamsburg!
