English Words

Arise, ye prisoners of starvation,
Arise, ye wretched of the earth!
For justice thunders condemnation,
A better world's in birth.
No more traditon's chain shall bind us,
Arise ye slaves, no more in thrall!
The earth shall rise on new foundation,
We have been none, we shall be all.

'Tis the final conflict,
Let each stand in his place.
The International, shall be the human race.

No saviour from on high delivers
No faith have we in prince or peer
Our own right hand the chains must shiver
Chains of hatred, greed and fear
E'er the thieves will out with their booty
And give to all a happier lot.
Each at the forge must do their duty
And we'll strike while the iron is hot.

Behold them seated in their glory,
The kings of mine and rail and soil!
What have you read in all their story,
But how they plundered toil!
Fruits of the people's toil are buried,
In the strong coffers of a few.
In voting for their restitution,
The workers only ask their due.

No more deluded by reaction,
On tyrants only we'll make war.
The soldiers too will take strike action,
They'll break ranks and fight no more.
And if those cannibals keep trying,
To sacrifice us to their pride.
They soon shall hear the bullets flying,
We'll shoot the generals on our own side.

We are the Party of all labour,
The whole earth shall be ours to share.
And every race and craft our neighbour,
No idle class shall linger there!
Like vultures on the wealth we render,
From field and factory, mill and mine.
Tomorrow's sun shall shine in splendour,
And light us 'till the end of time.

French Words

Debout les damnés de la terre
Debout les forçats de la faim
La raison tonne en son cratère
C'est l'éruption de la fin
Du passe faisons table rase
Foules, esclaves, debout, debout
Le monde va changer de base
Nous ne sommes rien, soyons tout

C'est la lutte finale
Groupons-nous, et demain
L'Internationale

L'oisif ira loger ailleurs
Combien, de nos chairs se repaissent
Mais si les corbeaux, les vautours
Un de ces matins disparaissent
Le soleil brillera toujours.

Sir, Communism is not about bringing nations to their knees. Communism is about the common struggle of the people -including Americans- against their oppressors.

  • @jakubkavalek .......you are so confused my friend......fascism is the dark past of History and Communism is the hope and the bright future of humanity!

  • Long live Freedom and Unity.

  • @jimakos61 Glad someone explained it without descending to "die, facsist!" inflammatory remarks. It's too bad the concept also involves dictatorship. Hopefully any future Communist-aimed dictatorships will quickly evolve into the stateless society. It seems to me like the problem with the Soviet Union was their unwillingness for reform - the corruption increased during the Brezhnev era, as they didn't implement proper anti-corruption legislature, unlike what China is sorta doing now.

  • I BELIEVE SO I SAW REDS

  • Is this the recording that Warren Beatty incorporated into his 1981 film "Reds"? The scene where Jack Reed (Beatty) addresses the workers in the Petrograd soviet and then it segues into "The Internationale" and the copies of the photos of the storming of the Winter Palace is one of my favorite scenes in all film. It quite literally brings tears to my eyes.

  • @BeethovenVEVO Bubba, you are as stupid as it gets.

  • @BeethovenVEVO Perfect. A brave and industrious people but brutally manipulated by banksters and corporate masters. It is incredible how such a marvelous country can be bought with tv-illusions and addiction to gadgets and expensive toys. It is very hard to imagine how they will break out from the oppressive context without a serious fight.

  • <Socialist
