@1948BigCy sounds only/still comes out of the mac. if you want it from the tv, you need to do what ixaproixa said below, note to get the rca cable to work you need another piece thats like a headphone jack 3mm, on one said and has female rca ports on the other. i can show a video on how to do this aswell
