  • do you have any other footage from this ceremony?

  • Hi I have the entire show. Was there another clip you would like to see? Unfortunately there were no musical numbers performed on the show.

  • Thanks for all the kind comments. Glad you liked this clip!

  • Hi sad to say they did not perform songs from those shows back then! I would also love to see the OBC of Sound of Music. Mary and the SOM kids did sing "Do Re Mi" on a tv variety show in 1959 or 1960 and I have never been able to see it. I would love to see it. Glad you liked this clip.

  • Wow, the actors really had to work to make their way up onto the stage back then. Nice to see Miss Martin receive the award from "Scarecrow" Ray Bolger.

  • Absolutely delightful thank you so much. For years I have been trying to find Parkinsons interview with her.

  • Who was the lady Miss Martin was seated next to at the beginning after Ray Bolger announced her name ? Janet Gaynor ?

  • you should give this to a museum

  • bahahahha all i can think of is PETER PAN :) that movie WAS my childhood.

  • @ashtonjoliet

Would you be able to post the portion of the show that includes the presentation of the best actress category, which would include Maureen Stapleton for Toys in the Attic....thanks.

  • Do you have the portion were Maureen Stapleton was nominated for Toys In the Attic? If so, could you post. THANK YOU!

  • 1- she's 46 here. Julie was 29 when she did it.

2- I'm amazed she got through the audience with a hoop skirt

3- I'm so glad she talks to the students. the lyrics of Climb Every Mountain are wonderful for EVERY profession or passion.

  • i love her!!!

  • I saw Gypsy and The Sound of Music in the summer of 1960 as a teenager. Thanks for posting the clip of Mary winning the Tony. I know very little about fashion, but Mary Martin (on TV a lot over the years) must have had the highest bills from dress designers of anyone in show business.
