I also got one and half of the lines in the screen were missing. I exchanged it with a standard 16 x 2 green backlit display, looks even better than the original red one. The cost of the display was around 18,-- Euro, and installation required some hours of work, mainly cutting the display base in the frame and soldering a new cable. But the machine is again working perfect, now I only need some years of practicing to get as good as norphe (actually, no, I will never get there)

this is not dnb it doesnt have a good breakbeat
Fresh, I remember when I had my 505 back in the day. I love that little box. Do you use it to trigger sounds in reason or are all the sounds coming from the 505?

Thanx for your comment. There are no midi cables coming out of the MC-505 this recoring session. This means you must be listening to the sounds of the groovebox only. The 505 has quite some good sounds but most of them are hidden and need tweaking / or combining. For instanse the acidbass sound is Patch P-A 049 with no portamento, I added reverb and it is made out of various arps... I suppose tweaked it with an arp setting that makes it octave -1. Cheers!
