A night for career highs - Sam Cassell scores his career high 40 points by efficiently making his jumpshots (18/24 FG) and also manages to hand out 10 assists, even though on this particular night he attacked the basket himself rather than facilitate. Fred Hoiberg for the Bulls has the game of his career as he knocks down several three pointers to achieve a career high of 28 points and dishes the ball around to achieve another career high of 13 assists. All that in double overtime, which was forced by a buzzer beating three pointer made by Sam Cassell (if you want to see it, go to 12:20). March 3, 2001.
BALONY! I didnt notcie this when watching back in 2001 but seeing it now Cassell FOULED Artest on the Offensive Rebound. Im counting this as a win for my Bulls. Add one more win in our all-time franchise history and subtract a loss please.

This era of Bulls basketball (The first few or so yrs after the Dynasty ended) proved how loyal Chicago fans are because United Center still sold out games and fans still Loved their Bulls. And do not use the Big Market thing as a reason for fan support because Knicks fans abandoned their team as seen this yr but once Jeremy Lin came they all act all hard and that. I remember when Cassell hit the 3 I was down. Bad memory man.

@ChannelXII I recognized Ray Allen in this video at 15 minutes. He wasnt getting too many looks with Cassell dominating the ball. That pull up J was working that day.
btw before Cassell hit the game tying 3, thats a huge foul from him on that idiot Artest.
Corey Benjamin, Bryce Drew and Fizer on da Bulls. Those were the days.
