Lol some of the little opti sailors here have good lungs on them as well. Sounds like an amazing spot. Wish I could say i had sailied my laser in the Arabian Gulf.

my city has four marinas in 3 miles of each other. We are based on an island surrounded by sea. I work my ass off daily like most people. i know how to sail. Yet i haven't been sailing in over 10 years. Screw the system! Boat owners need to get their thumbs out their ass.

Hence part of the reason for our success - there aren't many places where you can just rock up and rent a boat. It means people can sail regularly without the hassle or expense of owning a boat. It's money for old rope if our boats aren't being used for lessons but the biggest benefit is it simply cultivates the sailing culture in Qatar.

We are in Doha, Qatar in the Arabian gulf.
and I find the best way to get the smaller racers to listen is simply to shout louder.
