may i know what version is this called? i have a swan lake album, the closet piece to this is titled "No. 5 Pas de deux - Andante - Allegro - Molto - piu mosso" but the part after 3:00 is not in it...

@egonsky - I heard from Mr. Shtern that when he first met with Isaac Stern over 50 years ago it was suggested that perhaps they were related but from what I can tell this was found not to be so. From whom did you hear it?

Have you noticed that Michel Schwalbé (the soloist in Karajan's version) changes a note in the No.4 of the Swan Lake Suite? Instead of ascending to a high E, he plays the string witout fingering, at the beginning of the più mosso section.
