Comic-Con 2012 - San Diego After Party with The Slants

San Diego Comic-Con, The Slants are going to be playing for two nights at The Stage Bar (Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, the 15th). These will be free shows, only a few blocks from the Convention Center:

There will be special guests from the convention and the local scene so come out and have a great time!

Saturday, July 14:
Show begins at 7:30pm.
Features: The Slants, Misc. Ailments, DJ Miss Dust (of Playboy Mansion), and a special guest

Sunday, July 15
Show begins at 9:00pm
Features: The Slants, 321 Stereo, Johnny Hi- Fi, and DJ Miss Dust

The shows are presented by Racialicious, Racebending, Black Lava, Hyphen Magazine, AMP Music Festival, and Dark Horse Comics.

ABOUT THE SLANTS

Portland's The Slants are the only all-Asian American dance rock band in the world. They offer up catchy dance beats, strong hooks, and a bombastic live show that is "not to be missed" (The Westword) They've been featured on NPR's "All Things Considered," Myx TV/Comast Xfinity, and over 1500 radio stations, tv shows, magazines, and websites. The Slants have toured/provided support for The Decemberists, Girl Talk, Men Without Hats, Vampire Weekend, Apl.De.Ap (Black Eyed Peas), and many more.

The band has toured the world and headlined at festivals such as SXSW, MusicfestNW, Asian Street Heritage Fair, and other events. They've toured overseas for the Department of Defense playing for troops serving in Eastern Europe, inside the walls of a maximum security prison, at anime conventions, inside county libraries, and dive bars.
