This is NOT 'Compression Surge', that happens on throttle whilst building boost and will destroy turbos, this is 'Cavitation' is it relatively harmless and unavoidable. You can spec the spring either to open at low boost but leak/forced open at high boost or closed/won't open at low boost and open at high boost, you can't have it both ways... Lovely to see all the comments from people armed with nothing but 'Google knowledge' tho ;-)

@julz1512 block off your dump valve or put really hard spring in it so doesn't open at mild boost...
