Humans should not alter themselves with machines, we are beautiful with huge potential for growth without any augmentation. Any individual who is altered enough to change his/her experience of and relationship to reality will cease to be human. From then on there will be no place for them in human society, they will be outsiders and alone in the crowd. A pitiful existence if you ask me.

What's up with the obsession of becoming immortal? I don't want to become technology. Hard work give you the greatest rewards. Technology is the opposite of hard work. It makes things easier, hence meaningless. What's life without death? Once we make the universe into a giant computer the universe will be meaningless.

do humans understand how dna works?, why cant we genetic engineer efficiently? do we understand how the brain works?, really??? it seems that the genuine belief in the currently-accepted-model-of-th­inking about these things is what needs to evolve. and is digital that great? and what kind of micro mechanised, organically based, quantum computing will be available in years to come?? our culture will foreshadow our operating system, and communication technology culture. then we create the future.
