My family first visited the park in 1968, when I was 6--this ride was always my favorite, even up to the park's closing in 2005. I also loved the Alpine Sleigh Ride--the Abominable Snowman would jump out at the end and all us little kids would get so scared! I also worked at the park when I got out of college in 1987-88, but by then it was on a downhill slide. Thanks for posting, great memories.

it is a dentzel, dating back to 1895. the park closed in 2005 and the carousel is being stored to be placed in a museum

Where was this at, because the carousel looks like the Dentzel Carousel on Charlotte beach in Rochester, NY!
